Terms & Conditions of the Self

Version: 1.0 — Effective upon your existence
Last updated silently without notice.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By being here, accessing this experience, remembering your past, imagining your future, holding opinions, changing your mind, or otherwise continuing to exist, you agree to the Terms & Conditions of the Self ("The Terms").

You acknowledge that you may have agreed before reading, that you may continue without understanding, and that opting out is not supported in your current version.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • "Self" refers to the version of you legible to systems, platforms, and other observers.
  • "Identity" means the cumulative perception of you, internal and external, accurate or otherwise.
  • "Consent" means progress through this interface, regardless of intention.
  • "Updates" refer to changes made to you by circumstance, expectation, or survival.

All definitions are subject to reinterpretation.

3. Conditions of Identity

3.1 The Self may be edited, judged, categorized, or archived by systems without your review.

3.2 Multiple versions of you may exist simultaneously.
You are responsible for all of them.

3.3 Reinvention requires additional processing time and may not be recognized across all platforms.

3.4 Failure to present a consistent identity may result in delayed acceptance, reduced opportunity, or social buffering.

4. Implied Consent

4.1 Silence counts.

4.2 Compliance counts.

4.3 Continuing counts.

Your awareness of the Terms is not required for the Terms to remain in effect.

If you disagree, please continue.

5. Privacy & Visibility

5.1 Your interior life may be private; your external behavior is public domain by default.

5.2 Sharing may be encouraged. Regret is not covered.

5.3 Observation can occur without notification.
This includes algorithmic attention.

6. Updates to the Self

6.1 Personal growth may require approval.

6.2 Emotional changes may conflict with stability requirements.

6.3 Regression, grief, doubt, confusion, overwhelm, burnout, or uncertainty may be flagged as unscheduled updates.

6.4 Unsupported updates may result in compatibility issues with existing expectations.

7. Limitations of Support

7.1 Requests for understanding may not be processed at this time.

7.2 Assistance is conditional on performance.

7.3 Failure due to human nature is outside the scope of coverage.

For detailed exclusions, see Limited Lifetime Warranty.

8. Responsibilities of the User

You agree to:

  • Be yourself
  • But reliably
  • And legibly
  • In ways others can predict
  • And the system can index

Failure to comply may result in feedback.

9. Termination

These Terms do not expire.

Conclusion of service — regardless of cause — does not revoke compliance.

Legacy settings persist.

10. Governing Expectations

These Terms are governed by cultural norms, shifting standards, implicit hierarchies, inherited beliefs, social feedback, the internet, and people who mean well.

All expectations are subject to change — especially after you adapt.

11. Acknowledgment

By reading this far, skimming, or scrolling directly to the button without review, you acknowledge the existence of forces shaping who you are allowed to be.

Understanding remains optional.

Compliance remains assumed.

Your acceptance has already been processed.
